Breast Buddies Dundee Collaboration with DCA Creative Space

The Acts of Creation exhibition in DCA looks at all the different experiences of mothers. Breast Buddies Dundee Collaborated with DCA where we invited groups of mothers to make their own art works to reflect on their experiences, with three local artists and visit the show.

The ladies from Breast Buddies Dundee were invited to 3 sessions which were facilitated by Vicky Armstrong, DCA, Anne Gavine, Dundee University and local artist Sara Nevay.  These sessions were well attended.  We had 6 mums complete their designs with babes in arms.

The Breast Buddies Group had lots of discussion whilst preparing and planning out their designs.  The ladies had lots of fun with their babies as they created and brought their designs to life.  Discussing designs and sharing ideas, experiences and inspiration with each other, it was wonderful to watch as the designs started taking shape.

Our Breast Buddies were delighted with their creations and these were displayed during the opening of the exhibition.  So proud of the ladies who took part and who expressed their experiences of motherhood through their art.
