After a quiet couple of years for obvious reasons – training courses are now getting back up and running this year and it is nice to be able to offer these fantastic opportunities to our volunteers. We had a great session with Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust about how to spread the word about getting checked and how to spot symptoms – if you would like to read more please go to www.jostrust.org.uk
We also had a session with the NHS Food and Health team on introducing solids and this was a very interesting session and included lots of debate and chat, thank you to Lyndsey Renfrew and the team for running the session.
In September we ran a face to face messy play training session at The Gateway with The Smart Play Network. it was a great morning of fun and I think everyone enjoyed themselves as you can see by the picture on the left! We also came away with some fantastic ideas to try with our families.. and this will be especially helpful now the weather is getting more wintery.
